How does the spring/summer and autumn/winter collections work?

At Roberta, we release two limited collections per year, spring/summer and autumn/winter-not always in the most traditional way but definitely in the best way possible to catch your eye. We usually release new catalogue in the beginning of March and September, however exact dates might vary. Each collection is replaced by a new one, roughly being available for the next six months. Unfortunately if you miss out on deadline, due to limited numbers and material we won´t be able to make you the piece when next collection launches, because pieces in each collections are only available within them and some pieces (or rather places to make them) might be sold out before the next collection arrives. Our designs are worn and collected around the world and giving them certain time frame and small numbers make them more desirable and collectible. 

What is ´Archive´?

Archive is a selection of already ready to be shipped pieces (90% are pre-made) and we ship usually ship twice a week. This section at our site consists of pre-made pieces in random sizes and styles, not belonging to any collection. We used to operate while dropping random designs thorough the year before we nicely shaped the releases to twice a year only and curated them into limited collections.. Since we realised that pre-making sizes don´t work for us (and it really is better to wait 1-3 weeks to finish your order) we put the prices 50% off or less on these. Archival pieces are mostly one or two last pieces left from each style and we could possibly alter a piece to different size for a small fee (depending on the garment). Our Archive pricing is set to clear our pre-made pieces and is not a regular pricing for our designs. Once we sell it all this part of the website will close down. Since Archive pieces are already on sale (or few made to order), we don´t offer refunds. Archive purchases will also receive one complimentary totebag per order. 

What's the waiting time for my order to be shipped?

Since our collections are made to order only which is more sustainable way of making clothing nowadays, only sizes you request are made, waiting time is 1-3 weeks until we give you your tracking number. Slow fashion is a really slow process, however we are always trying to finish your order as soon as possible (especially if you give us specific deadline). We have material suppliers all over the Europe and we are very careful not to have any leftovers- some fabrics we might have on hand already in our atelier, some might take 2 days to be delivered or even some might take full week or so however, we are always working according the queue in our schedule. Due to various material suppliers we might have to fit your order within the scheduled run the most effectively as possible, so always better place your order r sooner than later. Especially our hand crocheted dots are very time consuming but we are always doing the best to be as prompt as possible because we can´t wait for you to receive your order!

Do you accept payment plans?

Yes we do! Since you have to wait a little bit (1-3 weeks) before your order is dispatched, we offer payment plans tailored to your needs and budget. We don´t have this service listed on the website because we work on payment plan with each client individually, so don´t hesitate to contact us if you´d like to pay for your order in installments. This is also great way how to secure your item since our collections are time and material limited, putting a deposit down is securing your item to be made for you since we only operate on made to order policy. The most popular payment plan option is to pay 50% upfront and 50% in 4 weeks time, however you can spread these payments within 6 months of duration of each collection, all agreed upfront. Your order is always dispatched after it´s fully paid and giving us a time frame in advance gives us idea when we need to finish your garment (so it´s ready for you before you make final payment as we are very prompt with shipping). Please note that payment plans installments are non-refundable if you change your mind.

What's the order process like?

You can place your order directly through the website or via email (especially if you are interested in payment plans). At the end of the check out procedure you enter your measurements (which we will either copy directly or match to our size chart) if you are ordering from our limited collection and you will be put into our system. You will receive tracking number between 1-3 weeks period. If you are ordering pre-made item from our Archive we ship twice a week so you will receive your tracking number within few days.

Are the rose appliques available to buy separately?

We are really flattered by the amount of inquiries asking for separate appliques (especially roses), however we are very proud of the fact they are only custom made for our brand according our drawings/designs made by specialised company so we don´t ever sell them separately. We don´t operate as a habedarshery but as a brand and our appliques are available only as a part of our design. Would you ever go to a branded store and ask them to cut their logo/label only so you could attach/sew it onto your favourite garment? Probably not and that´s why we will never sell them on their own. We only sell Roberta´s special designs at our shop and we do our best to use the most unique materials (or little additions as buttons etc) to be exclusively only made for us, same as our trademark appliques.

Can I visit a physical store/showroom or a stocklist to see garments in real life?

At the moment we only operate online, however we are always interested in potential stockists around the world. Please note all our pieces are made to order only from our collections and there is a minimum order policy if you are interested in stocking us at your shop, B2B orders are available. We also offer complimentary (no obligation to buy anything) online sessions and bi-annual events to promote our upcoming collections.

Do you take custom orders?

Yes we do! We do take custom orders however they are priced differently than our main line since we have to most likely develop new pattern and source the material separately. Each custom order is uniquely different and personally tailored to each client. 

Are there any sample sales, seasonal offers or discounts?

We have sampled large amount of designs in the last year or so and we have regular clean in our atelier in one of a kind items we no longer need. Some are imperfectly perfect! Samples are made in various sizes (that could be possibly resized for a small fee) or even colours/material that might not end up being part of our main collection. We have some samples and pre-loved pieces currently listed on our sister instagram account as robertarimbaud_shop or ebay (with extra fees on top), however it´s always best to get in touch and we can email you full list with photos and descriptions which is up to date most accurate. We believe in a motto ´buy less, choose well and make it last´ and don´t design with promotion or sales in mind so our limited collections always stay the same price from the beginning to the end of it´s run.

How do I care about my item?

We believe that with the right care your item will last decades and could be passed onto next generations. Each design has its own care instructions, however we always try to consider home made care/clean as essential as possible, but some items might only be cleaned through dry cleaners. You will be given instructions with each purchased garment.
